An Italian Sisterhood (Solistice Publishing)
Local children’s book writer, Olga Cossi, celebrates the launch of her life’s memoirs. Heartfelt and humorous, the book tells the story of three precocious sisters, daughters of Italian immigrants who came to California’s Napa Valley just after the Depression, a time when simple pleasures satisfied. After almost 70 years of writing, Cossi is the author of more than 30 children’s books, including Pemba Sherpa, released in 2010, which was honored by the Junior Library Guild.
The Capitola book cafe is reorganizing its business and under a strict deadline to raise funds to stay in business. Its complex but I think they are doing the right thing .Amongst their plans is to create a non profit, a change in the “cafe” part of the business, renegotiation with the landlords and more.
For a better explanation of what’s going on how you can help and participate.
